Terms and Conditions for Edenpark Carpet Cleaners

Carpet cleaning appointment booking and service agreementThese service terms and conditions set out the basis on which Edenpark Carpet Cleaners provides domestic and commercial cleaning services. By making a booking, requesting a quotation, confirming an appointment, or allowing access for work to begin, the customer agrees to be bound by these terms. They are intended to create a clear and fair understanding between the customer and the company, covering the booking process, payment arrangements, cancellations, liability, waste handling, and the legal framework that applies to the service.

For the avoidance of doubt, these terms apply to all carpet cleaning services, upholstery treatments, stain removal work, rug cleaning, and related maintenance tasks supplied by the company, unless a separate written agreement states otherwise. Any quotation or estimate is provided on the assumption that the information supplied by the customer is accurate and complete. Where relevant details change before the appointment, Edenpark Carpet Cleaners may revise the quotation, scheduling, or method of service to reflect the actual conditions found at the property or premises.

Customer review of carpet cleaning quotation and scheduleThese terms are written in plain language, but they should be read carefully. They do not affect the customer’s statutory rights. If any part of these conditions is found to be unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply so far as permitted by law. The company may update these terms from time to time, and the version in force at the time of booking will usually govern the service, unless a later written variation has been agreed by both sides.

1. Booking Process

A booking is normally made after the customer provides key details about the property, the area to be cleaned, the type of fabric or flooring, access conditions, and any known issues such as staining, odours, pet contamination, dye transfer, or previous treatment. The company may ask questions to assess suitability and to determine whether the service can be delivered safely and effectively. In some cases, photographs, measurements, or further information may be requested before the booking is accepted.

Once an enquiry has been reviewed, Edenpark Carpet Cleaners may provide an estimate or quotation based on the information available. A quote is usually an indication of likely cost rather than a fixed price unless expressly stated otherwise in writing. If the customer proceeds, the company will confirm the booking by message, email, invoice, or other written communication. Professional carpet cleaning service in progressThe booking is only final once the company has accepted it and, where requested, any deposit or prepayment has been received.

2. Customer Responsibilities Before the Appointment

The customer must ensure that access is available at the agreed time and that the work area is reasonably prepared. This may include moving small personal items, securing pets, and providing access to water, electricity, and parking where needed. The customer should notify the company in advance of any special conditions, including fragile fixtures, restricted access, recent flood damage, mould concerns, or health and safety hazards. Failure to provide accurate information may affect the service outcome, timing, or price.

The company is entitled to refuse or postpone work if the environment is unsafe, if the customer has failed to disclose material information, or if conditions are materially different from those described during booking. Any additional labour, equipment, or time required due to incomplete preparation, poor access, or hidden soiling may be charged as an extra cost. Where the customer is not present, the company may proceed only if prior permission has been given and suitable access arrangements have been confirmed.

Customers are responsible for securing valuables, fragile objects, and items that could be damaged by vibration, moisture, cleaning agents, or normal movement during the cleaning process. Edenpark Carpet Cleaners will take reasonable care, but it is not responsible for loss or damage to items that should have been removed or protected beforehand. Where furniture must be moved, the company may decline to move heavy, unstable, or high-risk items unless doing so is expressly agreed in advance.

3. Pricing and Payments

Prices may be quoted as a fixed fee, a room-based rate, a square-metre rate, or an hourly rate, depending on the nature of the service. Any stated price is based on the scope of work, the condition of the materials, and any assumptions recorded at the time of booking. If the actual work required differs from the original description, the company may adjust the charge fairly and proportionately. The customer will normally be told about any likely increase before additional work continues, where this is reasonably practicable.

Payments must be made in accordance with the terms notified at the time of booking or invoicing. The company may request a deposit to secure an appointment, particularly for larger jobs, high-demand periods, or specialist treatments. Any outstanding balance is due immediately on completion unless another payment schedule has been agreed in writing. Accepted payment methods may include bank transfer, card payment, or other approved methods, subject to availability and administrative convenience.

Late payment may result in administrative charges, suspension of future bookings, or recovery action where permitted by law. If a payment is returned, reversed, or declined, the customer remains responsible for the full amount, together with any reasonable bank or processing fees incurred by the company. The company may retain title to any removable goods supplied until payment has been made in full, to the extent allowed by law.

4. Cancellations, Rescheduling, and Delays

The customer may cancel or reschedule a booking by giving reasonable notice. Because appointments are reserved in advance and time is allocated specifically for each service, short-notice cancellation may incur a charge. The exact amount will depend on the notice period, the type of service, and any costs already incurred by the company. Where a deposit has been taken, it may be retained in part or in full to cover loss of time and administrative expense, subject to consumer law.

If the customer is unable to provide access at the agreed time, or if the appointment cannot proceed because the premises are unavailable, unsafe, or not ready, the company may treat this as a late cancellation or failed appointment. In such cases, a call-out charge or wasted-time fee may apply. Where the company needs to reschedule due to illness, equipment failure, staffing issues, or other operational reasons, it will make reasonable efforts to offer an alternative time and minimise disruption.

Delays caused by traffic, weather, unforeseen site conditions, or events beyond reasonable control do not amount to a breach of contract. Time estimates are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed unless specifically agreed as a fixed arrival window. The company will act reasonably if delays occur, and the customer is expected to do the same. Any cancellation rights that the customer may have under applicable consumer rules are preserved and will operate alongside these terms.

5. Liability and Service Limitations

Edenpark Carpet Cleaners will carry out services with reasonable care and skill, using methods and products considered suitable for the material and condition identified at the time of work. However, cleaning outcomes can vary depending on age, wear, fibre type, previous treatments, hidden staining, colour instability, and other factors outside the company’s control. No guarantee is given that every stain, mark, odour, or trace of soiling can be fully removed. In particular, older or set-in stains may lighten but remain visible.

The company will not be liable for pre-existing damage, structural defects, weakened fibres, colour loss from unstable dyes, shrinkage, pile distortion, or adverse reactions caused by pre-existing contamination or unsuitable previous cleaning methods. Customers should note that some materials are inherently delicate and may respond unpredictably to moisture or cleaning agents. The company may decline to use certain techniques if it believes the risk of damage is too high. Any advice given before or during the service is based on the information available and is not a warranty of outcome.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded. Subject to that, Edenpark Carpet Cleaners shall not be responsible for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business, or loss arising from the customer’s own failure to follow aftercare advice. If liability is established, it will be limited to the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim, except where the law requires otherwise.

6. Waste Regulations and Environmental Handling

Waste produced during the provision of carpet cleaning services may include removed soil, sludge, packaging, disposable cloths, worn applicators, and other cleaning residues. The company will handle such waste in accordance with applicable waste regulations, environmental rules, and duty-of-care obligations. Waste will not be unlawfully discharged, burned, or disposed of in a way that is harmful to the environment or public health. Where the service creates controlled or specialist waste, the company will take appropriate steps to store, transport, and dispose of it responsibly.

The customer must tell the company in advance if the premises may contain hazardous substances, bodily fluids, sharps, mould, asbestos, chemicals, or other dangerous materials. The company is not obliged to handle waste or contamination that it reasonably believes requires specialist licensing, equipment, or disposal methods beyond the scope of a normal carpet cleaning service. If such material is encountered unexpectedly, work may be paused or terminated for safety reasons, and additional charges may arise if specialist attendance or disposal is necessary.

Any items removed from the property for the purpose of cleaning, treatment, or disposal will only be handled with the customer’s permission and subject to the agreed scope of work. The customer remains responsible for declarations required by law in relation to hazardous materials or regulated waste. Edenpark Carpet Cleaners may keep records of disposal arrangements where reasonably necessary to demonstrate compliance with applicable legal obligations.

7. Complaints, Reattendance, and Claims

If the customer believes there has been an issue with the service, they should notify the company as soon as reasonably possible and provide a clear description of the concern. The company may request photographs, access to the cleaned area, or a chance to inspect the issue before any decision is made. This allows the matter to be assessed fairly and helps determine whether any further treatment, partial refund, or other remedy is appropriate.

Where a genuine service failure has occurred and the company is given a reasonable opportunity to resolve it, Edenpark Carpet Cleaners may choose to reattend, adjust the work, or offer another reasonable remedy. The company will not be responsible for complaints arising from changes made by the customer after completion, normal drying variation, re-soiling, or use of unsuitable aftercare products. Claims must be made within a reasonable period and, in any event, in accordance with applicable limitation periods.

Any acceptance of a remedial visit does not amount to an admission of liability unless expressly confirmed in writing. The company’s intention is always to act fairly and resolve issues in a practical manner, while preserving the legal rights of both parties. This section should be read together with the liability provisions above, which continue to apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Waste handling and cleaning compliance during service8. Force Majeure

Edenpark Carpet Cleaners shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations where the failure is caused by events beyond its reasonable control. Such events may include severe weather, fire, flood, power failure, transport disruption, industrial action, equipment theft, public health restrictions, or the unavailability of necessary materials or personnel. In such circumstances, the company may suspend, postpone, or cancel the service without penalty.

If a force majeure event prevents attendance or completion, the company will use reasonable efforts to rearrange the appointment once it becomes practicable to do so. Any payment already made will be dealt with fairly in light of the work completed, expenses incurred, and the circumstances of the cancellation or delay. Neither party shall be treated as in breach of contract for the period affected by the event, provided they act reasonably and communicate promptly.

9. Data, Records, and Communication

The company may keep reasonable records relating to bookings, invoices, service notes, photographs, access details, and communications for operational, accounting, and legal purposes. Any personal data processed in connection with the service will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection law. Customers should ensure that any contact details provided are accurate and kept up to date for the purpose of appointment coordination, billing, and service updates.

By providing information to Edenpark Carpet Cleaners, the customer confirms that they are entitled to share it and that it is accurate to the best of their knowledge. The company may communicate by telephone, text message, email, or other agreed means. Routine communications related to scheduling, payment, or service matters may be sent electronically where appropriate. The company will not use customer information for unrelated purposes unless permitted by law.

Final contract terms and governing law for carpet cleanersNo part of these terms creates a partnership, agency arrangement, or employment relationship between the company and the customer. If the customer requires a paper copy or written version of any agreed terms, the company may provide one upon request where reasonably practicable. Any headings in this document are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.

10. Governing Law

These terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Subject to any mandatory consumer protections, the parties agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute relating to the service. This means that the contract will be interpreted using the legal rules applicable in that jurisdiction, even where the service takes place elsewhere within the United Kingdom.

If any dispute cannot be resolved informally, the parties should attempt to do so in a reasonable and proportionate manner before starting formal proceedings. Nothing in this clause prevents either party from relying on rights or remedies available under consumer legislation, contract law, or other applicable legal rules. These terms form the complete understanding between the company and the customer in relation to the service, unless replaced or varied by a separate written agreement.

By proceeding with a booking, the customer confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.
